Job Description Job Description Maintenance Mechanic Nexeo HR has partnered with a food manufacturing organization to hire a Maintenance Technician II for a full-time, night shift opportunity. This role supports food manufacturing operations in a fast-paced, regulated environment and is ideal for technicians with 4 years of maintenance experience who can independently perform advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Technicians in this role serve as a key technical resource on shift, supporting equipment reliability, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring production uptime. Responsibilities • Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment • Troubleshoot and repair moderate to complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues • Maintain and support food processing and packaging equipment (conveyors, motors, pumps, mixers, fillers, packaging lines, etc.) • Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence • Respond to equipment breakdowns during the night shift and lead troubleshooting efforts as needed • Support and mentor Maintenance Technician I team members • Follow all GMP, HACCP, food safety, and safety policies and procedures • Accurately complete work orders, PMs, and maintenance documentation and communicate clear shift handoffs • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and maintenance processes Qualifications • 4 years of maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing or a regulated manufacturing environment • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills • Proficient knowledge of electrical systems (motors, sensors, starters, VFDs) • Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems • Ability to read and interpret manuals, PM instructions, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings • Solid understanding of GMPs and food safety requirements Education & Experience Requirements • High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of maintenance experience OR • Technical certificate, Associate Degree, or vocational training with equivalent hands-on experience Preferred Qualifications • PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) • Welding and light fabrication experience • Experience with CMMS systems • Experience in food manufacturing or other highly regulated industries • Experience supporting continuous improvement or reliability initiatives Physical Requirements • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work on equipment for extended periods • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs • Ability to work in cold, hot, wet, or noisy production environments Pay Rate $38.75 Shift/Schedule Night Shift 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule Nexeo Benefits • Medical, Dental, Vision, Limited Life, Short-Term Disability. • Refer a Friend Bonus | Other Financial Incentives (Bonuses). • Weekly Pay | Direct Deposit | Rapid Pay Card. • Hassle-Free Job Search: A Nexeo Recruiter is always available to assist you.
