Compensation:$20.00 per hour Position Type:Part-Time, Hourly,

Theaterisseekinga skilled and experienced Automation
Programmer/Operator to join our production team. The Automation
Programmer / Operator willbe responsible forprogramming and
operating stage automation systems for rehearsals and performances.
This role requires a deep understanding of stage automation
technology, strong technical skills, and the ability to work
collaboratively to ensure the safe and efficient execution of all
automated elements in our productions. Pay is based on experience
level. Candidates with minimal experience can be trained, but will
be brought in as entry level. Duties and Responsibilities:
Programming: Program and configure stage automation systems,
including winches, turntables, lifts, and other automated scenery.
Develop andmaintainshow control files, ensuring precise and
reliable operation during performances. Collaborate with designers
and technical staff to implement automation cues and sequences.
Operation: Operate automation systems during rehearsals and
performances, ensuring smooth andaccurateexecution of all cues.
Monitor the performance of automation systems in real-time,
makingadjustments asnecessary. Conduct pre-show checks and
diagnostics to ensure all systems are functioning correctly.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance and
inspections of automation equipment to ensure optimalperformance.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise with
automation systems. Keep detailed records of maintenance and
repairs. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and
procedures whenoperatingand maintaining automation systems. Ensure
all automation operationscomply withindustry safety standards and
regulations. Conduct safety briefings and training sessions for
crew members as needed. Collaboration and Communication: Work
closely with the Head of Automation & Rigging, technical staff, and
stage management to coordinate automation operations. Attend
production meetings, technical rehearsals, and note sessions
asrequired. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve automation
design and operations. Skills and Qualifications: Education
Requirements:High School Diplomarequired. Bachelorsdegree in
Technical Theater, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
Experience in Job Type:Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in stage
automation programming and operation. Skills Required:
Proficiencywith automation control systems (e.g., Creative Connors,
Stage Technologies, TAIT Navigator, ETC Eos). Strong understanding
of mechanical and electrical systems related to stage automation.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong
organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to work
independently and as part of a team. Effective communication and
interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and
irregular hours as required by production schedules. Physical
ability to lift and move heavy automation equipment.
