Job Description: Provide position specific audiological services
including consultation, diagnostic evaluation and ongoing
habilitative and rehabilitative treatment, services and education
to patients and their families. Posting Specifics Shift: Either
Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts or 4 10's (if this schedule is
chosen, the manager will work out the schedule). Department: All
Utah County audiology offices are a possibility, but most likely
the Spanish Fork and/or Utah Valley locations. Essential Functions
- Provide diagnostic assessments, habilitative and rehabilitative
services to potentially all populations from newborn to geriatric.
- Provide timely documentation of all provided services and patient
interactions according to current policies, procedures and
guidelines. - Appropriately and accurately bills for all audiology
services provided. - Provides education to patients and family
concerning test findings and recommendations as appropriate. - Stay
current with audiology professional developments and literature. -
Follow all legal, HIPAA, ethical and compliance guidelines related
to an audiology practice. Skills - Provide appropriate position
specific audiology services. - Provide timely communication of
findings and future recommendations to referring providers through
the current electronic medical record system in use. - Communicate
as appropriate the test findings and recommendations to patients
and family members - Provide mentoring to audiology students in
training Minimum Qualifications - Master’s degree in Audiology -
Audiology professional licensure - Basic Life Support Certification
(BLS) for healthcare providers Preferred Qualifications - Doctoral
degree in Audiology - Specialization in area of audiology as
needed. Physical Requirements - Ongoing need for employee to see
and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate
monitors, identify equipment and supplies. - Frequent interactions
with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require
employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand
spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and
accurately, particularly during emergency situations. - Manual
dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate
equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent
computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing
needed information, medication preparation, etc. - Expected to lift
and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also
bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically
includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and
obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes
pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy
items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of
equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.) - May be expected to
stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time. -
For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which
requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and
other vehicles. Location: American Fork Specialty Clinic Work City:
American Fork Work State: Utah Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 The
hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate
dependent upon experience. $42.66 - $65.82 We care about your
