General Surgery Locums Job in Utah 24-Hour Call June 15, 2025 - Ongoing Assignment

Shift Details
On-call coverage Monday 7:00 AM until the following Monday 7:00 AM
Approximately one week per month
Call ratio 1 in 4

Requirements
MD or DO
Board certified in General Surgery
Active license or willing to obtain licensure
ATLS, BLS

Required Procedures / Skills
Standard general surgery procedures including cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and hernia repair
Robotic surgery experience
Acute care surgery including bowel obstruction, perforated ulcer, and volvulus
Trauma procedures including splenectomy, bowel resection or repair, chest tubes, and line placement

Assignment Details
Level III Trauma Center
Approximately 3 to 7 admissions per night
ACS operating room available daily around noon
Adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient population
EMR system: ICentra
