Job Description:
Join Performance Foodservice, a leader in food distribution, as
a CDL A Delivery Route Driver and play a vital role in delivering a
vast range of food products to a diverse customer base. This
position is crucial in maintaining our commitment to excellent
service and efficiency, ensuring all products reach their
destinations safely and on time. As a driver, you will manage daily
delivery routes and build strong relationships with customers,
upholding the company's reputation as a reliable and trustworthy
service provider. Safely operate a delivery truck over established
routes to deliver products efficiently and on time. Inspect vehicle
for safety issues and perform preventive maintenance as required.
Load and unload cargo, verifying loads against shipping papers, and
secure cargo during transit. Maintain detailed logs of vehicle
service records and delivery documentation. Provide excellent
customer service, addressing and resolving any issues with
professionalism. Skilled in operating a commercial motor vehicle.
Strong navigational and route management abilities. Ability to lift
and maneuver heavy product loads. Effective communication and
customer service skills. Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle
