Department Profile

Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets.

Background on the Position

This individual will be responsible for the management and development of New Account Associates, Analysts and contingent service professionals. The candidate will be responsible for supervising their day to day responsibilities and performance. The candidate should have a strong working knowledge of Morgan Stanley processes and procedures, be confident, adaptable, and have excellent problem solving skills. They must also have the ability to elicit timely and accurate work from members of the team.

A successful New Account Section Manager will be expected to develop and leverage working relationships with Business Partners, contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives and manage projects to address the expressed needs of Senior Leadership, Business Partners or clients. Additionally, that individual will need to meet targets for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual obligations. The following are additional requirements of the position: team meetings, individual and integrated service professional coaching, quality monitors, compliance trainings, and firm wide performance reviews.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent management experience
