DescriptionHomespire is growing rapidly, and we are excited to be able to grow our People team! The Human Resources Generalist will play a monumental role in making sure that we are employer of choice by developing and executing recruitment strategies with an emphasis on culture, position fit, and creativity; thoughtfully onboarding new employees; and so much more.Specific responsibilities include: sourcing candidates, driving recruitment activities, filling the pipeline with qualified candidates, selling the Homespire culture and model to prospective candidates, and courting bench candidates, maintaining and operating the HRIS, administering employee benefits, responding to employee questions and concerns, and partnering with operations on employee engagement initiatives.This role will require the right balance of professionalism to handle confidential matters, an incredible eye towards all the fine details, and a warm personality that people are comfortable talking to. We've got a lot of building and scaling to do and are eager to find the right person who is ready to roll up their sleeves and dive in headfirst with us.Position Functions and ResponsibilitiesTalent AcquisitionManages all advertising activities including online postings, career websites, trade association notification, and more Actively seek out external partners, events and programs to increase community awareness of Homespire career opportunitiesUnderstands the vacant positions and its purpose so hiring the right person with the right abilities, experience, and style is based on objective measures Facilitate processes for phone screening, interviews, employment verifications, shadow/second interview, offer letters and key hiring information.Advocate for candidates with interviewers seeking objective reasons for proceeding with or denying a candidate.Other duties as assigned.Benefits AdministrationInforms and advises employees on benefits matters regarding eligibility and enrollment informationCompiles and maintains benefits records and documentationOpen Enrollment administrationCOBRA administrationOther duties as assignedHuman Resources AdministrationConduct employment verifications & background checks on potential hiresCoordinate TB Blood Tests for all new hires required to have one and Chest X-Rays as neededComplete employment verifications for current employeesEnsure all offer and new hire paperwork is completed as requiredCreate, deliver, and coordinate onboarding programs for new hires that are comprehensive and informational and not snooze-inducing.Resolve employee questions or concerns in a timely and considerate way.Process unemployment documents and filing with manager approval, may attend hearings, and follow up as manager requiresContribute to the research and implementation of HR-related tools or programs such as Performance Reviews, Background Checks, and Engagement Surveys.Other duties as assignedMaintenance & Operation of HRISEnter new employee information in HRIS with appropriate renewable requirementsMaintain employee data in HRIS, ensure all information is up-to-date and accurateTrain new hires on usage of HRIS, both employee and manager if they are in a manager roleManage processes for all parties involved in maintaining and updating the HRISOther duties as assignedQuality & ComplianceEnsures all personnel files are complete at hire or rehire to ensure HR files are in compliance with company, state, and federal rules and regulationsAssists with running monthly reports on expiring documents and run annual background checks, professional license verifications, and collect driver's licenses and auto insurances as they expire Help with personnel file audits to ensure completion to ensure HR files are in compliance with company, state, and federal rules and regulationsQualificationsEducation & Experience: College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field3-5 years of experience across a wide range of HR functions, ideally within a high-growth, fast-paced environment; experience in a healthcare company is a plusKnowledge and Skills: Solutions-oriented with a natural ability and high-capacity to implement and improve processes.Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence with an ability to build genuine relationships.Naturally curious and excited to continually learn and stay up to date with HR topics.Working knowledge of compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment lawsComfortable navigating challenging forces in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with significant change; employing only the necessary HR processes that enable the organization to innovate and growCommitted to a high degree of service-orientation and consultative interaction Ability to influence and partner with all levels of the organization to achieve resultsCollaborative spirit and desire to be part of a team#Homespire-Professionals
